Dental implants are materials produced from titanium-aluminum-vanadium alloy or titanium zirconia alloy specifically in certain length and diameters that are placed in the bone through a surgical procedure that tightly hold to the bone and plays the role of an artificial dental root. They are cylindrical in shape and have grooves on top.
It should be kept in mind that dental implants can be applied only when there is adequate space in the bones of the jaws at the areas without teeth. In case of inadequate space, an appropriate bone is tried to be created using some surgical procedures.
It is evaluated whether there is space at the areas including no teeth at the jaws by panoramic radiograph, dental tomography and oral examination.
